The LMRL AA Program

The Lower Mainland Ringette League AA Program combines the top ringette players in the Lower Mainland with the most qualified and capable coaching staff available to produce some of the finest ice sport teams to ever hit the ice. Our high performance LMRL AA Thunder teams demonstrate the sport of ringette at its best with unparalleled competition that’s fast, powerful and exciting.

AA ‘Thunder’ Program

Participation on the LMRL AA teams is available for players in the U14, U16, U19 and NRL divisions through an annual “tryout” process.

The goal of the LMRL AA Program is to provide an opportunity for ringette players in the Lower Mainland to play at the highest possible levels and to field the strongest possible teams at the Canadian Ringette Championships.

  • Athletes selected to the U14AA Thunder teams compete in the Provincial AA Championships for the right to represent the province at the Western Canadian Ringette Championships.
  • Athletes selected to the U16AA and U19AA Thunder teams compete in the Provincial AA Championships for the right to represent the province at the prestigious Canadian Ringette Championships national competition.
  • Athletes selected to the NRL team will compete in the National Ringette League and compete in the Western conference for the right to represent the province at the Canadian Ringette Championships national competition.

The LMRL AA Program is proud of its record of developing some of the very best ringette players in the world.

Come and watch these teams in action and you’ll see why ringette is called the fastest game on ice!
